a1ninety, O venerable ones, Pāt. (lit. making someone fall)-dharmas have been recited by me. Here I as before. ||
a1+|| O venerable ones, now these four Pratid. (lit. to be reported)-dharmas come to the recitation of Prātimokṣasūtra each half month.
a2|| Buddha was staying in Śrāvastī.
a2+Then, it was the time of hunger.
a3A lot of honor and reverence turned to the nun Utpalavarṇā. She obtained much food.
a3+She gave it as food to the monks.
a4The third day came to her, (that) she remained without eating. Thereafter, the attack of weakness seized her. She was still walking and fell on the street.
a5A certain merchant saw her. Suddenly he returned (to his home) and informed his wife. Thereafter, she came, carried her and prepared food for her.
a5+Buddha heard
a6and blamed.
a6+|| If a monk, not being sick, seizes hard food and soft food by his own hand from an unrelated nun who enters into one house for alms, it should be reported to other monks by this monk.
b1'O venerable ones, I have violated a point by something to be blamed.
b1+What is not suitable should be announced.
b2I announce this point. This is a rule to be reported.' || || Buddha was staying in Śrāvastī.
b2+A certain patron invited the monks and the nuns to the meal.
b3Thereafter, Sthūlanandā informed the patron: 'The one is there is āraṇyaka. Give him at first.
b4Then, these are āgamadharas. He is ābhidhārmika. He is vinayadhara.' Therefore, the patron got angry. 'Order, you.
b4+We will sit silently.'
b5Buddha heard and blamed.
b5+|| Many monks should be invited to the meal in several different houses, if there is a nun would be standing, who indicates:
b6'Give rice here, give broth here, give here more.' The nun should be said in this way by the monks.

Other

(Schmidt 1974: 328-9, fn. 5, 387)
a6+Which monk not being ill goes into the inside of a house for alms-begging, and takes hard and soft food with his own hand from an unrelated nun, that monk has to confess to the monks: 'In a condemnable matter, o honourable ones, I have trespassed [lit. crossed the place].' (Peyrot 2013b: 693)
(Schmidt 1974: 167, 381)
b4+Because of that the benefactor was upset, [and said], 'You order! We will remain quiet.' (Peyrot 2013b: 299)
b5+If monks were invited into dwellings to eat on the way (?), and a nun were standing there giving instructions, 'Give rice here!', 'Give soup here!', 'Give more here!', [then] this nun should be [addressed] by the monks like this … (Peyrot 2013b: 348)
