n3 | opsi: new form, nom. pl., referring probably to a bovine, according to the Uy. text. ma(hirsāñä) “buffalos”, cf. the complete word in A 301: a4; according to the context, it must be some kind of ox, “bos Indicus” in that case. |
n4 | śoś, apparently nom. pl. here, elsewhere obl. pl. (cf. TEB I: § 202), designates some small cattle; “sheep” is not at all certain. The preceding word is an epithet, nom. pl. masculine of an adjective *āṣi, derivative of ās “goat”, cf. the parallel adjective TB aṣiye (TEB II: 165). For āsāṇi cf. Skt. āsanā- ‘seat’. |
n6 | dakṣinaki: So to be restored, cf. A 295: b5; nom. pl. of dakṣinak, borrowed from Skt. dakṣinaka- = dakṣiṇīya- “worthy of gift”. |
