Remarks

Transcription and translation are based on Carling et al. 2009.

Parallel texts

MaitrSiŋgim, Taf. 146-148

Philological commentary

This fragment contains the end of the fourteenth and the beginning of the fifteenth act of the Maitreyasamitināṭaka; the colophon of act 14 is contained in line a8, line b1-8 already cover the beginning of act 15. An Uy. parallel is MaitrSiŋgim, Taf. 146 v.6-147 r.28 (act 14, Tekin 1980: 115-6) to Taf. 148 (act 15, Tekin 1980: 117), where the colophon is in Taf. 147 r.21-28 (Tekin 1980: 116). See also Pinault 1999: 201-202.
n1 The restoration (ś)l(a) (ri)s is based on Siegling's personal copy of Sieg and Siegling 1921 157. The collocation ris waṣtu also occurs in A 254 a3 (as pointed out by Anna Kuritsyna via Ilya Itkin, 18 November 2015).
n2 The restoration (kumbhā)ṇḍāśśi (cf. Müller and Sieg 1916: 406) is based on the Uy. parallel of the sentence.
