| n1 | The meter has 4x14 syllables (7/7). |

| n2 | m(a)hi is certainly the end of a proper name borrowed from Sanskrit ending in °mahī. |
| n3 | The meter has 4x12 syllables (5/7). |
| n5 | At the end of the line the manuscript allows the reading ñcaṃ as well as ñaṃ. In the former case one may consider the loc.sg. of a feminine noun with suffix -āñc. |
| n6 | The meter has 4x14 syllables (7/7). |
| n7 | Pace Sieg and Siegling 1921: 40, one has to read tsuneśśi, being the gen.pl. of a noun ending in -tsune; since these are usually abstracts with a plural in -uyentu, the form may belong to an (animate) compound. The hands probably refer to the other women of the palace holding the child. |
