Translation
| a1 | The price of the law of a cakravartin king ... the omniscient ... |
|---|---|
| a2 | ... having remembered, and having done this in the mind ... |
| a3 | ... This is to be wished as a wish in all births [and] (in) all (times). |
| a4 | ... by good behaviour after all good ones without ... |
| a5 | ... may he spur [him] on to the nirvāṇa place with a goad (?) ... |
| b1 | ... having done, consciousness is to be settled. All people ... Maitreya ... |
| b2 | ... May they through ... attain the mind of the Buddha teachers! |
| b3 | ... Thus in all births [and] in all times all virtues ... |
| b4 | ... and all beings [are] equally friends with each other. |
| b5 | ... May I ... as Buddha in the world. To the whole world ... |
Commentary
Remarks
| Probably this list of wishes is too long to have been part of a jataka. They resemble those of the Udānastotra but are less formulaic. | |
| According to Broomhead 1962: 147 "[w]ritten [in] small to medium ductus, and very clearly preserved, it is the right edge of a five line MS." |
