Remarks
Transcription and translation are based on Carling et al. 2009.
Transcription and references have been transferred from the "Text and Reference Database of the Tocharian A Language" (Gerd Carling Lund University) (funded by the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation and SCAS).
Fragment of a manuscript which includes A 251 - A 294 (cf. Geng et al. 2004a: 64-5). Lines a7-8 and b1-2 are lost. |
Parallel texts
A 267 (completing); A 305; MaitrHami 16, 1-3, MaitrSiŋgim, Taf. 156 |
Philological commentary
This fragment, which can be complemented by A 267 and supplemented with A 305, contains part of the sixteenth act of the Maitreyasamiti-Nāṭaka. Uy. parallels are MaitrHami 16, 1b-2b17, and (according to Moerloose 1979: 245-249) MaitrSiŋgim, Taf. 156 v.11-33 (Tekin 1980: 130-2) for lines b6-7 (= A 305 a3-7). A 305 a1 and a2 = lines b4 and b5 here respectively. The lacuna in line b6 in A 267 and here may be filled with A 305 a3. A 305 corresponds to MaitrHami 16, 2b2-3b24. See also Pinault 1999: 202-3. |
