Philological commentary
This fragment, which supplements A 267 and A 268, contains part of the sixteenth act of the Maitreyasamitināṭaka. Uy. parallels are MaitrHami 16, 2b2-3b24, and (according to Moerloose 1979: 245-249) MaitrSiŋgim, Taf. 156 v.11-33 (Tekin 1980: 130-132) for lines a3-7 (= A 267+A 268 b6-7). Lines a1 and a2 here = A 268+A 267 b4 and b5 respectively. The lacuna in A 268 and A 267 b6 may be filled with a3 here. See also Pinault 1999a: 202-203. |
