Transcription and translation are based on Carling et al. 2009. | |
Fragment of a manuscript which includes A 251 - A 294 (cf. Geng et al. 2004a: 64-65). Lines a8 and b1-2 are lost. |
Parallel texts
A 268 (completing); A 305; MaitrHami 16, 1-3, MaitrSiŋgim, Taf. 156 |
Philological commentary
This fragment, which can be complemented by A 268 and supplemented with A 305, contains part of the sixteenth act of the Maitreyasamitināṭaka. Uy. parallels are MaitrHami 16, 1b-2b17, and (according to Moerloose 1979: 245-249) MaitrSiŋgim, Taf. 156 v.11-33 (Tekin 1980: 130-2) for lines b6-7 (= A 305 a3-7). A 305 a1 and a2 = A 268 b4 and b5 respectively. The lacuna in line b6 in A 268 and here may be filled with A 305 a3. A 305 corresponds to MaitrHami 16, 2b2-3b24. See also Pinault 1999: 202-203. |
