Philological commentary

*The reading is based on Xinjiang Kucha Academy et al. 2014: 5-9, the translation on Pinault 1994a: 179.
n2Note that Xinjiang Kucha Academy et al. 2014: 7 read l[y]ā[ka] 'he saw' instead of [katko]\, as per Pinault 1994a: 175.
n3Note that Xinjiang Kucha Academy et al. 2014: 7 read okonta 'fruits' instead of okronta, as per Pinault 1994a: 175 and 182.

Remarks

*Drawings in Xinjiang Kucha Academy et al. 2014: 5-9; photos in Su 1989: 127-128, pl. 163, 164.

Linguistic commentary

n1Note dīpamālṣa (thus read by Xinjiang Kucha Academy et al. 2014: 5 with fn. 1 contra Pinault 1994a: 175 with fn. 2, p. 176), which stands either for masculine dīpamālṣe or for fem. dīpamālṣai.
