Commentary
Remarks
| The fragments of the PK AS 19 series (19.1-19.22) all belong to the same manuscript. The fragment is the left side of a manuscript including the string hole. The leaf number which is identifiable on the verso side is 81. It exhibits the same kind of damage as PK AS 19.5 (M 504.5). The string hole interrupts the third line. |
Philological commentary
n1 | The manuscript has prukäṣṣälle which would be the Antigrundverb of the root pruk- 'to neglect'. However, this would not make sense with malkwer 'milk'. It is thus better to view it as a scribal mistake for prutkäṣṣälle belonging to the Kausativ of the root prutk- 'to fill up'. |
n2 | In the beginning of the line there is the ending of an optative 3.sg. with a suffixed pronoun. |
n3 | This line is severely damaged and mostly covered by imprints of akṣaras of another leaf. |
