Commentary
Remarks
The left and lower (recto) margins are preserved. The leaf number could be longer: in view of the high position of ‹4› and ‹100›, a ten as well as a digit may have been lost. |
Philological commentary
n1 | ā ///: if this is a Garbhasūtra fragment, a possible restoration would be (ā)riñc 'heart'. |
---|---|
n2 | mnāñ: the only two possibilities seem to be (brā)mnāñ and (ṣā)mnāñ. |
n3 | ṣo(maṃ): in view of the preceding pl.f. rätraṃ, this may be a pl.f. form too. |
n4 | pontāśśi: most probably the form cited as "Frgm." in Sieg et al. 1931: 127. |
n5 | (|| pa)ñcapāttärnaṃ ||: certainly a variant of A 76 and 83 a4 pañcapātraṃ, A 305 b3 (|| pa)ñcapātraṃ ||. |
