Commentary

Philological commentary

*Comments from Filliozat 1948:
*Gloss between lines b5 and b6: (tri)waṣle. Below b6: sūkara
n1Broomhead/Filliozat read this line as (prapu)ndarīk [aśva]kant ki[ro](t), but the akṣaras are not legible.
n2mlucku is obscure. Broomhead translates it as "crushed", and Adams sets up a root just for this form within the Weber manuscripts. Note that it is not entirely obvious that we shoud read mlucku instead of mlutku. The "cku" doesn't really look like the ckā in W 5. We could just read mlutku here. The phrase ṣe sām occurs multiple times in the Weber manuscripts. Broomhead translates it as "[of each} one the same [quantity]". Maybe we should translate it as "all together", as in "these ingredients are to be cooked all together."
n3The reading "tumeṃ" is far from certain.
