Commentary

Philological commentary

*Comments from Filliozat 1948: 7 akṣaras missing at the end of a5 and at the beginning of b5
n1The i-diacritic on "pi" is very similar to how it is written in the cursive ductus. This is not the case in W 19 b2, on which the conjecture pi(p)i(takamatyä) is based.
n2In the remnants of the akṣaras, you can barely make out what looks like a ñä, with the rest of a n(ā) before it. If so, we could conjecture tanāñ. This is obviously very tentative, so I haven't put it in the main text.
n3The akṣaras that Filliozat/Broomhead transliterate at the end of this line aren't legible.
