Philological commentary

n1The reading pārlā is certain. A misspelling for pārlyāṅk is out of the question in any case because this is a technical term borrowed from Sanskrit (= TB parlyāṅk) and refers to the crosslegged position in meditation.
n2näṣ is rather an ablative form of an n-stem than the 1st singular personal pronoun. omäskenäṣ "because of evil" would be a possibilty (cf. line a 6).
n3On top of the ligatura we cannot see a vowel, so that it cannot be anything else than the present participle of the causative of the root ritwā-.
n4l is the end of a gerundive constructed with näṣ in a nominal sentence. sa could be the beginning of a 1.sg.act. subjunctive form of sälp- 'to burn'.
n5mār is the end of a 1.sg. middle verb form. ku is certainly a form of the interrogative pronoun kus or the beginning of the conjunction kuprene 'if'.
n6The tune has 4x18 syllables (7/7/4).
