Commentary

Philological commentary

*A six-line fragment, with strophe number 11. Recto and verso side as well as metre cannot be determined with certainty.
n1There is a typo in Sieg and Siegling 1949: the correct reading is māntau śa (not ṣa). (ma)māntau can be a PPt (as suggested by Sieg/Siegling), but māntau may also be a 1.sg. subjunctive.
n2Emendation according to Sieg and Siegling 1983: 95 fn. 5.

Remarks

*Fragment of the left side of a leaf, composed of two smaller pieces, badly damaged. On the edge of the verso side traces of a leaf number are still visible.
