Commentary
Philological commentary
n1 | ñāssa may be the perl.sg. of ñ(y)ās "desire", but the variant without y is so far only attested in eastern TB manuscripts, whereas this one comes from the west. Alternatively, we may have a verbal form 3.sg. ñāssa or 3.pl. ñāssare, which is attested otherwise in THT 331 a 5, but the meaning of which is uncertain (it may belong to ñäsk- "to desire"). |
