Commentary

Remarks

*In one frame with THT 1483.b. Since the fragment is damaged in the same way as THT 1483.b, the two fragments must have been lying on each other.

Philological commentary

n1/// säm: A reading säm requires a construction säm prasenaji wäl 'this king Prasenajit'; a reading (ce)säm requires heavy object fronting.
n2(ṣä)pnäṣ: pnäṣ could theoretically also be a verb form, cf. A 29 b2 pnäṣṣ-äṃ.
n3sam: Since mätne probably starts a clause, sam probably ends a clause. Therefore, it is more likely to be a 1sg. verb form than the word 'same'.
n4m ma: the first m seems to be connected to the left so that it would be virāma position, but at the same time there is a second m, which makes a ligature reading more likely.
n5(wä)tkāṣäl: the akṣara traces before tkā are compatible with w, but not with e.g. pyu (cf. m-tht1378e b1 pyutkāṣäl).
n6näṃ: If a spelling tsäṃ without Fremdzeichen is admitted (cf. in particular m-tht3976 a3), a reading (tsopa)t(s)äṃ (cf. A 278 b3) could also be possible.
