Philological commentary
n1 | (pāṇḍukampa)l pārenā: cf. A 187 b5, A 301 a8, A 308 a5, A 315 and 316 b4. |
---|---|
n2 | : for the restoration, cf. Carling et al. 2009: 104a. |
n3 | yäksātär: the reading follows Sieg et al. 1931: 459 and Malzahn 2010: 791. Carling et al. 2009: 185b rather reads ksātär 'blinds' or 'is blinded'. This is indeed an option, but no subjunctive of ksā- is attested otherwise; it is also possible that kākso was an isolated, frozen preterite participle without accompanying finite forms. |
n4 | lkoñcäs: theoretically, options are (kä)lkoñcäs, (pä)lkoñcäs, (mä)lkoñcäs, (sä)lkoñcäs. |
n5 | : for the restoration, cf. Carling et al. 2009: 171a. |
