Commentary
Philological commentary
It is possible that line a3 and a4 and line b1 and b2 reach all the way to the right margin of the manuscript (otherwise we are at the schnurloch space there). In line a3, [y]olo can be read if the folded piece at the verso is considered. The folded piece from the recto hides Broomheads śi at the beginning of line b2; a small piece lying on the manuscript hides the s of Broomheads k_use in line b4. |
Remarks
According to Broomhead 1962: 289 "[w]ritten in large ductus it is clearly preserved and appears to be the left hand edge of a four line manuscript". |
