Commentary
Philological commentary
| This document is very peculiar. The first line doesn't make any sense. The second line has the phrase preksau yṣū... where the second word could be a form of yṣuwar 'friendly; friendliness'. This is reminiscent of the letters, cf. THT 492 a1 Āryawarmeṃ tsamo yṣuwarsa prekṣäṃ. This document could therefore be a letter. The writing ductus also bears some similarity to THT 2805. The 'ra's are L-shaped in both documents. However, they weren't written by the exact same hand. |
