Commentary

Linguistic commentary

Some words indicate an archaic ling. stage: wärtto in b4, tsyalpā(t)e in b5, tsyālpāte and iwersā in a3.

Philological commentary

: a short story with at least the Buddha and Ānanda as acting characters. The theme might be killing. The type of story might fit e.g. the Udānālaṅkāra.
n1: rsa lijkt rsā misschien täṅkuwersā?
n2śe ///: possibly a form of śerwe 'hunter' or śer- 'hunt'.
n3je ·e ///: apparently a mistake for jetavaṃ.
