Commentary

Philological commentary

The editors argue that (pi) is to be restituted between wa and [ku], and that we should read (su)wa (pi)[kuln](e). The only king whose 11th year on the throne corresponded to the year of the pig was Kṣemārcune. Thus this inscription can be dated to 771.
