Philological commentary

n1The context of this passage speaks against interpreting ypomna as variant plural of yapoy 'land', but the same form in m-dd62 does; cf. Pinault 1987: 184, fn. 10.
n2Does wistär come from Skt. (°)vistara- ‘wide'?
n3According to Pinault, "[u]ne lecture [p]e n'est pas impossible", so maybe to be restored to waipe(cce) 'possessions'?
