Commentary

Remarks

In one frame with A 408 and A 408.a-A 408.h. Ogihara 2009: 282 considers appurtenance to the Bhikṣuṇī-Prātimokṣasūtra possible because of the occurrence of aśi 'nun' in b3. Therefore, it is provisionally assumed that it belongs to manuscript A 415-416, not to A 406-408.

Philological commentary

n1 /// – lāśaṃ: the reading seems clear, but an interpretation is difficult. Not likely seems a double misspelling for lāśä, in turn for lāśä\.
n2 /// – ṅkā – ///: the upper part of the first akṣara seems to be ka or la; a possible restoration is (pä)[l](ts)äṅkā(ṣ) 'thinks'. Not likely is the reading [ta]ṅ[kā] of Ogihara 2009: 282.
