Commentary
Sieg and Siegling 1953: 297 suggests that it could a miswriting for ṣarmire/ṣanmire 'novice.' Adams 2013a: 713 objects that a novice could'nt "be put in so responsible a position of oversight." Alternatively, one can assume that ṣarmire was used as a name, given the overlap between titles and personal names.
