Commentary
Philological commentary
n1 | Ching 2010: 246 has eśyeṣṣe. The e-diacritic is only a miniscule stroke of ink; it's angle is also unusual for e: rotated to the right. Thus, it seems better to read ā. This would also be better morphologically, since this word is definitely related to THT 2689 eśyai, meaning eśyāṣṣe has the same relationship to *eśya as witsakāṣṣe to witsako. This is much more appealing than assuming an adjective derivation from an adjective derivation *eśyeṣṣe. |

n2 | There's a visible kapci-mark, so this restoration is pretty secure. |
