Remarks

*Transcription and references have been transferred from the "Text and Reference Database of the Tocharian A Language" (Gerd Carling Lund University) (funded by the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation and SCAS).
*Transcription and translation are based on Carling et al. 2009.

Philological commentary

n1äñcesnine: gen.pl.m. of äntsanne 'whoever' (Carling et al. 2009: 60b; Siegling personal copy of Sieg and Siegling 1921).
n2/// ·m·nnaṃ: the name of a tune with the metre 4 x 18 (7+7+4). It contains 4 strophes and continues until the beginning of line b5. The strophe does not end after the strophe number "1" in a4, because (pace Sieg and Siegling 1921: 32) no double daṇḍa "||" follows.
n316 syllables missing at the beginning of the line (3 of pāda 1a and 13 of pāda 1b).
n415 syllables missing at the beginning of the line (8 of pāda 1c and 7 of pāda 1d).
n520 syllables missing at the beginning of the line (14 of pāda 2a and 6 of pāda 2b).
n6tsārot: the meaning of this word is unknown. It may be an adverb in view of the apparent suffix -ot (cf. wtākot 'for the second time' next to wtā, wtāk).
n725 syllables missing at the beginning of the line (14 of pāda 2c and 9 of pāda 2d). Instead of pälskes : one would have expected pälskes : 2.
n824 syllables missing at the beginning of the line (15 of pāda 3a and 9 of pāda 3b).
n924 syllables missing at the beginning of the line (14 of pāda 3c and 10 of pāda 3d).
n1014 syllables missing at the beginning of the line (all of pāda 4a).
n1116 syllables missing at the beginning of the line (7 of pāda 4b and 9 of pāda 4c).
n12The last 10 syllables of the last pāda (4d) and the beginning of the prose passage (probably the number 4, a double daṇḍa and approximately 8 more syllables) are missing at the beginning of the line.
n13käryatsum: probably an infinitive was preceding, i.e. ... (t)s(i) käryatsum.
n14cuṣiṃṣi: the word division is uncertain (Carling 2000: 174 rather reads cu ṣiṃṣi and translates "Dann dich aufrecht aufgestellt, wie an einem hohen *ṣiṃ-Pfosten ..."). For the possible word cuṣiṃ, here as a ṣi-adjective, cf. THT 1514 a3. It may be a borrowing from Skt. cūṣiṇī, name "of a female attendant of Durgā" (Monier-Williams 1899: 401b).
