Commentary

Philological commentary

n1According to Carling and Pinault 2023: 306 s.v. pravārāpākāñc*, we might have a fragmentary attestation of the equivalent of Skt. pravārāpaka-.
n2I restored the double daṇḍa after the dot, see Sieg and Siegling 1921: 230.
n3Together with Ogihara 2009: 157-158, I think we can restore ·y·, based on the akshara traces on the manuscript.
n4Maybe we could restore (e)vaṃ saṃghasya, cf. THT 1111 a2-a3.
n5Based on A 415 a3, THT 1110 a5;, b2;, b4 and on THT 1115 b5, together with Ogihara 2009: 465, we can restore śṛṇotu bhada(nta).
n6The restoration (prā)ptakālaṃ is supported e.g. by A 414 b3 and A 417 b3. See also Ogihara 2009: 465.
