Philological commentary

This fragment contains the end of the twenty-first and the beginning of the twenty-second act of the Maitreyasamitināṭaka. The colophon of act 21 is in line b4; lines b5-8 cover the beginning of act 22. Uy. parallels are MaitrSiŋgim, Taf. 175v (Tekin 1980: 181) for act 21, and MaitrSiŋgim, Taf. 68r (Tekin 1980: 182) for act 22. See also Pinault 1999: 203-204.
