a1... I honor you leading the caravan unsurpassed ...
a1Therefore, you destroyed... together with the impressions...
a1+... (whatever) thing is to be known, you see unimpeded, compassionate one.
a2+In all three times, your mind always (is directed towards?) the exceedingly pure knowledge of Buddha-rank.
a3+(You), having washed the pure, stainless matter of the noble way, ... from succession...
a4+Therefore, I honor you, the shining, excedingly pure, noble one, famous...
b1+You, having purified yourself with emptiness, have made all virtue and sin disappear, without attachment...
b2... you always have this thought.
b2+I honor you who are exceedingly pure, exceedingly having removed... sense...
b3the somnifacient for the brahmins, named [wrong] imagination, has been cut off ...
b3+Therefore, the obstacle to knowledge has been shattered by you.
b4In all... you are not hindered.
b4I honor you, the well liberated sage.
b4... not satiate... to see...

Philological commentary

*For the correspondence with Skt. see Schmidt 1987:
n1ñare: The meaning here seems to be 'sin, bad deed' rather than the usual 'hell'. Cf. VAV2.37 prahīṇapuṇyapāpāya "Dem, der Vergehen und Verdienst aufgegeben hat" (Hartmann JU 1987: xx).
