Commentary
This is based on an adjective meaning literally "born under the asterism Terminalia, auspicious" and was frequent as name of men in Buddhism (cf. Monier-Williams 1899: 448,3). In particular, it was the name of a former Buddha, cf. Edgerton 1953: 254,1.
