Commentary
Philological commentary
| n1 | prokṣi could be similar to plaṅṣi 'selling', ākṣi 'announcing' (TEB I: 160, §230). However, it is unclear which verb this form could be derived from. Alternatively, it could be a loan from Sanskrit prokṣ- 'to sprinkle'. |
