Commentary

Linguistic commentary

n1This word is so far unattested; perhaps the reading should be ṣiy[aiñe].

Philological commentary

n2glosses Skt. khe(ṭaḥ) 'phlegm, slime'.
n3glosses Skt. gū(tha) 'excrement'. Although a tiny trace of the long ū of gū(tha) is readable (Wille 2012: 374 reads g[u] ///), the reading of the Sanskrit text is here clearly made possible by the Tocharian gloss.
