Commentary
Philological commentary
: the only possible key-word is kloka///, which could be a form of klokaśce ‘pore, follicle’. | |
n1 | pā ·i: = pā(kr)i? |
n2 | ṣmeṃ: This syllable occurs mainly in auṣmeṃ / oṃṣmeṃ, and as a spelling variant in ṣmeñca, i.e. often osta-ṣmeñca 'householder'. Here it may be possible to read the next akṣara as c, so (osta)-ṣmeṃc(a) + nts. If correct, this may point to the vinaya. |
