a1... stand towards the external... according to the rules. If my wish is fulfilled by you, receive the teaching under your care... in Nirvāṇa... In this way, very learned...
a2+... monks, having become wish-fulfillers of Buddha the teacher, establishing the teaching, doing deeds of Buddha-dignity, ... having become refuge and hope.
a3Thus, Buddha the teacher said in a Sūtra:
a4Whoever honors a knowledgeable, very learned monk... ... he antagonizes him... He put me... like... In the Phullena-tune: The life of the teaching...
a5... having enjoyed... is honor and scorn... Whoever... to manifestly honor me... not...
a6... says:
a6+... great... of the very knowledgeable ones...
a7... the very learned monks... announce... ... the abhidharma, what cause, why now...
a7+He says:
a8... nuns who break a precept - what is the reason? Buddha the teacher... said to Ānanda in a Sūtra:
a9... if women would not leave their home... full... the proclaimed law...
b1... destroyed... for five hundred years for me...
b1+And for (another) five hundred years... remains for a thousand... years...
b2... regarding the teaching ..., the Buddha spoke thus:
b2+If women would not leave their home, like... five hundred years..., just so... would..., since... five hundred years...
b4... and his hair was thick. All that... of women...
b5... they are the announcers. ... and at the beginning they are not under the control of the well-behaving ones ...
b6... and it is no longer heard. Or if he has reproached the behavior with blame, and through the blame of the behavior...
b7... he said to Mahākāśyapa: The law of the Buddha is not destroyed by the earthen kind, nor by the watery kind, nor the fiery kind...
b8There, the beings arise who desire evil, evil-doers, with evil laws...
b9They will call law (what is not law), and they will call not law what is law. They will call (Vinaya) what is not (Vinaya). (They will call not Vinaya) what is Vinaya.

Other

a4... macht ihn verächtlich. (Schmidt 1974: 465)
b7Nicht wird dieses Gesetz des Buddha, o Kāśyapa, durch das Geschlecht der Erde vernichtet. (Schmidt 1974: 252-3, fn. 5)
